I can't believe it is June already...oh my!
I wanted to share some news...we had a wonderful day at the chicago antique market, sales were good, weather was beautiful, and the crowd was the best they have ever had! We came home tired but with a lighter trailer!
The best part about the day was that we were asked by a shop owner in Chicago if we would like to consign our antiques with her!! She had just opened a 2nd shop named Brimfield and she is located in Andersonville ( a neighborhood in Chicago)!! I am soooooooooooo excited...this was our goal that we set for ourselves when we decided to set up at the Chicago show. We wanted to network with other shop owners and get our little shoppe out of "Fairbury Illinois"! We are planning on taking our things after July 4th and seeing where it goes from there. I talked to Julie today and she said that Country Living wants to do an article on her shops. (insert happy dance here:) Check out Julie's shop here at this link...http://www.strangeclosets.com/?p=8216
Well, that's all for now...we are getting ready to change displays for the 4th so I hope to keep this blog updated with those pics!!! I'm trying!!!

I haven't posted for awhile (typical for me- huh!!:)...
The shoppe has been staying really busy and somedays I feel like I just can hardly keep up! We are gathering antiques for our upcoming antique show in Chicago (http://www.chicagoantiquemarket.com/) and trying to fill our shoppe up at the same time! People definitely have spring fever after a hard Illinois winter!
Thought I would post a few pictures of some things we just got in... just a small sampling:)
awesome apothecary dome, neat old medicine cabinet, cast iron mortar & pestle (love it)

Our spring open house was last weekend and I finally took some pictures of the shop today!! It took us about 6 weeks to get everything done! We also did a little reconstruction during this time...I moved my office area into the kitchen and created a new checkout area by cutting a hole in the wall and putting in a new counter. Daton did all the "construction" work and it turned out just perfect. I love my new area and now I can be so much more organized and have everything in its place. It just makes me happy:)
So here is the shop in full bloom:)

Hope I didn't bore you too much, tried to take a few angles from the main rooms. Sorry my pictures are all over the place, I still don't know how to do this blog thing very well!
Stop in at the shop anytime and say "hello"!
